Oh my goodness....my heart is aching.
I come to you today begging for your help. Yes, I'm begging.
We desperately need a family for Vanya as soon as possible. Many people have inquired about adopting him. But things have changed and we URGENTLY need a family who is paperwork ready--one who has already done their home study and has USCIS approval. We need a family who can get to him quickly.
While I am not at liberty to give any details, I can tell you that Vanya's situation has turned into a critical need for prayer. He needs a paperwork-ready family to commit to him in the next few days...before it is too late.
Time is running out.
Do you know of a family who is already adopting a child from Ukr*ine? Do you know of someone who is traveling to adopt a child from there soon and may consider adding this precious boy to their adoption? Either a family who is already adopting, or a family who has all their paperwork ready and has been waiting on the Lord to show them the right child.
Friends, we urgently need your help....PLEASE spread Vanya's story on blogs, social networks, and adoption discussion groups. We absolutely have to find his family soon. The finances are not an issue--God has provided them. Now all we need is the right family--one who will say, "Here am I, Lord, send me!"
Please stand with us in prayer over the next few days...trusting that Vanya's family will come forward. How desperately he needs them now.
Pray, body of Christ! Pray without ceasing. Pray until Vanya is rescued and safely in the arms of those who love him.
Thank you for helping us today. Thank you for praying and bringing this boy before the Father. Thank you for trusting with us. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.
"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matt 17:20.
You can read Vanya's full story right here.

I am so deeply touched by just how many of you have written to express an interest in adopting Vanya. And while his circumstances have changed to the point where we now can only seek a family who is already paperwork ready...please, please, please keep your hearts open to another adoption. There are millions and millions of children all over the world desperately in need of someone to come for them. Perhaps God has used this little boy as the seed that will lead to you another--to your child?
I'll post a few great places to get started with an adoption next week.

Shared!! We inquired about Vanya but we are not paper work ready....we haven't even begun the process. I desperately wanted to bring him to our home. Praying, praying, praying!!
I wish I could. Our income will only let us adopt one:( He is soooo cute and I think he would fit right in.
I really truly hope a family will come forward for this little boy, but I hope they come forward because they truly want to adopt him and be his family, and not because they feel sorry for him or want to "save" him or feel that they "have to." He should be adopted because someone wants him as a son, and not because someone wants to be a hero.
Praying...
Praying fervently, Adeye! We are waiting on USCIS approval ourselves or I would jump at the chance to bring home this sweet little boy. Mountain, be moved!! AMEN!!!

Oh, how we are praying! We also had prayed about this little boy and then inquired about him. We are nowhere near having any paperwork ready and USCIS is always slow in our area. I will continue to pray fervently for him and for his family to be found! I shared on my webboard.
Praying Vanaya's family finds him SOON!
Blessings,
Barbara
He has been on my heart all night and day! I too had inquired, but we don't even have our passports and never started any adoption process. Husband is also a bit reluctant. I would love to be Vanya's mother. He is so precious!!! Praying fervently that the Lord will move on his behalf!
Praying his family comes forward soon!!!
Love you!

I posted about Vanya on Christian author, Karen Kingsbury's Facebook page. She has adopted 3 sons from Haiti and has a real heart for adoption. Also, she has MANY followers on Facebook. Hope this will help get the word out about Vanya.

Praying that his family comes forward!!
God can do this!!
I will put this on my FB page, Adeye!
I hope Vanya gets a family soon. He deserves it.
Well I need to give one more giant Boooo to not being able to adopt as a single momma (I emailed the poor eli guy twice lol.) I'm even ukrainiane and have family who could talk to him and boys his age giving me money from their piggy banks in order to get him. Sigh. Anyway we need to be in problem solving mode. Is he on rainbowkids.com? Can we organize peeps with pastoral connections to have a special little "snippet" shared at churches? Are only americains allowed or can canadians adopt him too. What about infiertile support groups in churches...does infertility hinder the adoption proccess in that country? If we are the feet we just need to find the door to walk (or kick down heehee) there is always a solution to every problem. God's got it we just need to seek it out and make it happen. Let me know if you need anything
We are paperwork ready for a domestic adoption, but we haven't done any international paperwork. I am praying constantly for him and sharing with everyone I can think of.
PRAYING!!!!!!!!! I wish we could :(
Praying too. God please provide the perfect home for him. Give him peace and show us your faithfulness!
I desperately wanted to drop everything and run and bring Vanya home! We also are not paperwork ready. We have been praying hard for his family to find him.
Praying for this sweet angel!!!
I will share this with our blog. I will be praying that Vanya's family finds him!
We are paperwork ready and should be traveling the end of May but we were USCIS approved for 2 and we are bringing 2 home. How hard is it to get it changed to 3? We would if it is possible?
Jackie

I am praying. I have adopted from Romania and we are starting paperwork soon for another. I am hoping to hear good news soon.
Praying and going to post on my FB page. There HAS to be a family for him.
I shared this urgent need on my blog! I will pray without ceasing for this precious, adorable, sweet boy!! I wish I could adopt him, but I'm 13, so... not gonna happen. Still, I will share as much as I can and definitely remain in prayer... Let us know if there is any thing we can do. Are funds still needed, or supplies??
I've been posting on facebook. a friend saw it and she has a friend in Ukraine right now who is not matched and was hoping to meet her child. She sent her a text and is hoping to hear back from her soon. PRAYING like crazy that this family is actually paperwork ready and that this will work out!
wait, i think i might have said posted on my blog, i meant facebook. just in case you went to my blog and didn't see it, don't want you to think I am crazy :)
Just wanted to let you know that I linked to your blog in my post about our adoption story here - www.whatitmeans2beheld.blogspot.com/2011/04/our-adoption-story-part-1.html. Hope that's okay! Thank you for sharing your heart and your story with me. You have challenged my thinking and opened my eyes!
Weird, we heard the song "Here am I Lord, Send Me" last night and my husband and I have been singing it all day today! :) Love how God does little things like that! Praying for Vanya.
Funny, we heard the song "Here am I Lord, Send Me" last night so all day today my husband and I have been singing and humming it, then I saw what you wrote here on your blog! Love how God does little things like that! Praying for Vanya and his family!!
My husband and I are so moved by Vanya's story we are seriously looking into the international adoption process. However I am confused on where to start and how to select an adoption agency. We have looked at Reeces Rainbow and the Eli Project websites but then when we googled private agencies they all say you cannot preselect a child from the Ukraine or be shown pictures until you go through the entire process and go over there to actually get a child and then they will show you the children available for you to choose from. What am I missing? Where do we start?
I am not looking to adopt, but I am going to share Vanya's story on my blog. At worst, we get some more prayers for him, at best, God works miracles and we can all work together to find him a forever home!
