let's bring them home!

Recently my inbox has been flooded with requests to let readers here know of various fundraising efforts of families who are adopting.

Adoption fundraising is HARD!  Take it from one who has been there, done that!  It takes guts and courage, and there can possibly be many sleepless nights.  It takes putting in an enormous amount of time and effort.  And, it will stretch your faith unlike anything else ever has.  It's one of those getting-out-of-the-boat-and-walking-on-water things.  It is not for the faint of heart!

I have such a heart for families who step out in faith and trust God to provide for their children waiting in faraway lands.  I really do.  I long to be able to do more to help them. But I just don't know how to do that. The need is so overwhelming.  So many are stepping out to bring children home, which is amazing.  The only thing that stands in their way is finances.

People ask us all the time, "What can we do to help the orphan crisis?  We are not in a position to adopt and we cannot go on a mission in this season of our lives...What can we possibly do to make a difference?"

Our answer is simple.

"HELP A FAMILY WHO IS ADOPTING!"

Find a family and give seed into their adoption!  It is such an easy way to do as we are commanded in the book of James, "Care for the orphan."  By sowing precious seed into an adoption you are helping to ensure that there is one less orphan in the world, and that is so priceless.  We can all do something to help.  Every little amount donated soon adds up to be a large amount.  Our God loves to multiply what we give.  Just think the loaves and the fishes.

I would love to give you all an opportunity to play such a vital role in the rescue of a child.  Below is a list of families who are in a financial crunch and need funds urgently to complete their adoptions.  Please go through the list, click on the thumbnails, and read their stories.  If God moves on your hearts, please consider giving--a little or a lot.  It all adds up.

To add a little incentive, I will give a $250 Walmart gift card to one of you who sows seed to any one of the families below.  All you need to do is make a minimum donation of $10 and then come back here and leave a comment telling me which family you donated to. A winner will be chosen from the comments on this post.

UPDATE:  We now have TWO $250 Walmart gift cards to give away to two people who donate!

If you are a fundraising family: Please only add your blog to this list if you are in a real predicament and need funds URGENTLY!  It is easy to be included--just follow the prompts.  You will be given an opportunity to leave a brief description of your fundraising needs.  Please make sure there is a place on your blog where donations can be made.

Thanks, friends, for prayerfully considering helping one of these families.

Lastly, if you have a blog or Facebook account, would you please consider spreading the word and letting your friends know of a way that they too can help an orphan come home...simply by helping a family who is already doing it, trusting the Lord for every penny?  I appreciate that so much.

Together, we CAN make a difference!

***  In order for each family listed below to receive as much exposure as possible, this list will be open to the FIRST TWENTY families who add their details.  If you know of a family who REALLY needs help with their fundraising efforts, please pass on this information and tell them to come and add their details as soon as possible. Thanks!

Trusting the Lord for an outpouring of LOVE!

Thank you so much for using your blog to help those of us who are adopting. Just seeing my sweet girls face on this list gives me do much HOPE that she will be with us soon receiving her much needed heart surgery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is an answered prayer for our family.

Only donated $10 at this time - to the family adopting precious twins & are traveling 1/29/12.
Thank you so much for spotlighting families in need of funds for their pending adoptions.
Fundraising has been so difficult for us - I have asked God to take this burden from my heart & to lead us to the funds we need!
Thank you & bless you for advocating for the orphans!

Hey,
Thank you so much for doing these! You are such a blessing to so many people Adeye and even when I know your life has to be crazy just moving you still choose to follow God.

I donated to Little Miss Isabella. I was in tears reading her momma's cry and it took me back to how desperately I wanted to get to Jaxson 4 years ago. Thank you for giving us a chance to help this cutie come home.
