Harper has "pops" (as she calls them).
The chicken "pops" has made it's presence known in my family.
Totally uninvited!
I get all teary just looking at her. I feel so bad for my little angel.
She just doesn't understand why she's itching.
So far it's just Harper who has it. Two of our children got chicken pox four years ago. We'll see if it spreads more this time.
Praying for healing for our sweet baby love, in the name of Jesus!

Awww...poor lil sweetie!! My kids called them "chickie pops". ;) Praying they go away soon and that no one else gets hit too!
I'm so sorry she's so itchy but glad it's happening now instead of waiting for you 2 newest lovies to come home...
Was immunization counterindicated for them, or do you avoid immunization for ideological reasons?
Hope she gets better soon!
Harper was immunized.
When my girls had them, I got the book "Goldilocks has chicken pox" and they loved it. We also went to our local thrift store and bought old old VHS tapes and they loved them. It was a huge novelty to them - vhs tapes :P They were miserable and did a lot of time in the tub with aveeno and then in just their undies coated in "pink princess dots" aka calamine lotion.
My youngest had them and so did my next door neighbor's son. Both had the immunizations but there cases were really mild
Three of my children who were immunized got it. They got it way worse than the child who was not immunized. Crazy! I think every child is different.
I am so sorry Harper. I know the 'itch'. The only thing that helped me was an old Amish remedy - a small amount of Vicks on each 'pop'. You are still beautiful, Harper.
Praying for pretty precious and now very itchy Harper!

Poor thing :(
Poor kiddo! I hope she feels better soon!!
Poor baby girl! If we were closer, I'd come over for a "pops" party. My kids have never had them...and I wish they just get them and be done with it!
Awwe poor Harper. Praying for the itching to cease and for healing to begin quickly. Huge hugs to her.
She is still beautiful! I hope this goes away and she isn't suffering too much! Poor baby!
We called them the "Pock Pock POX" when my sweet girl got them. You know....like a chicken. She didn't find it near as funny as we did. There was a lot of eye rolling.
Poor Harper! I can remember having "pops" myself - simply horrible! When our elder son got them (bad news because as a child with sensory issues he was a real picker/scratcher)our neighbour suggested an oat meal bath and it really helped. If you didn't already know give it a try ... here's a link
