sweet sisters

I am so desperately in love with these sisters.

Be still my beating heart.

Working on a post that answers all your questions.  It's taking me a while. I'm hoping to be finished later.

Love and hugs to all of you, from me and my beautiful angels here in the Ukraine.

35 sweet thoughts from friends:

I am so happy for you!!!!!! And that doesn't even say enough.

I know that there is not always an instant connection between parent and child in an adoptive situation. Sometimes things take time.

Upon meeting my girls, there was an overpowering, desperately loving, forever lasting bond from me to them. I PRAYED that for you my friend, that you would feel the same way upon meeting your girls!

Again, I am so HAPPY for you!

What a precious picture! Praying for you, for your girls that are there with you, for your children & husband back home - and for God to bless each and every one of you in a specific way right now.

That is the most beautiful picture! Sisters indeed!

I am loving following this journey with you! I cry every time I come to your blog these days. I would SO take some of these precious children if God would ever allow it...

In your sweet Harper's face I see my little Mylie. :) They resemble each other somewhat. And I know how great she'll respond to speech therapy and that little tongue won't be sticking out like that eventually. So be sure to get a good picture of the three of you with your tongues sticking out. :)

And dear precious Hailee...Have you been told if she has a heart condition? Every time I see her picture, that is what comes to mind. We didn't know about our daughter's heart problem right away because they couldn't hear it at first. It wasn't obvious outright. (I can explain those statements more to you if you want...) Hailee's frailness reminds me of how Mylie got as she worsened before her heart surgery. So I just have to wonder...

Both of these treasures are blessed beyond measure to have God choose to have them plucked from that life and brought to this one. What a picture of our redemption in Christ! Amazing!

And now I'm crying again...:)

Absolutely beautiful picture! I eagerly anticipate each new blog post! Thank you for allowing us to follow along on this journey you are on. I have a question...when do you get to take those precious girls back to the apartment with you? I want so badly for you to take them with you, although I know I don't wish it half as much as you do! Praying for you all~

I wonder if they knew one another before you arrived? Did they ever spend time together? I bet they will love playing and spending time with one another. I wonder if they could share a crib/bed? I'm wondering a lot today...I just love logging on and seeing a new post from you!

Really pretty photo, Adeye! When they are older and their hands have grown, you will have to repeat the shot ,holding their hands in the same way, and frame the two pictures together. Hang in there, my friend!!!

I have a picture in my head of your older daughters painting those teeny, tiny fingernails a sweet, delicate light pink. Little toes, too! Oh, all of the new experiences to come for every member of your family! I have also thought that the "babies" will never learn to walk, but only because they have five older siblings that will want to carry them around!! :)
I can't wait to see pictures of your older children loving on their new sisters!
Adeye, how DO you pronounce your name? Just wondering after your post from the other day! I'm also wondering if you eat eggs and/or cheese? You could make a nummy cheese omelet. Can you find some beans/lentils? I know that there are "vegetarians" and then there's "vegans". I think there's a difference. Don't Vegans choose to eat NO animal products? I was also wondering about the possibility of making a healthy Smoothie. Can you buy ice-cream and some fresh fruits? Ok...this has been all over the place! Just wanting ALL to be well with You! I'm asking for all of your court proceedings to be smooth and FAST! Hugs to you! Love In Christ ~ JO

I know you just said you are working on a post to answer questions but I have a couple. We are seriously considering adopting through Reeces Rainbow. Did your hubby come with you to the Ukraine or did you go totally alone? I thought both parents had to go. And if one parent could go that would work out better for us to leave our medically fragile child home! And do you know what orphanage number you are at? We are looking at Joy. She is in Ukraine in orphanage 13. That would be so cool if you could see her! My email is [email protected]
