urgent prayer request

Hi everyone,

Things continue to move painfully slowly here in the Ukraine.  Tomorrow is a pivotal day in our adoption process.  The Chief Judge has called a meeting with me.  He has some 'concerns' and would like to speak with me about them. As most of you know, I am adopting Hailee and Harper as a single person (due to Anthony being over their age requirement).  My hubby is completely out of  the equation, according to Ukrainian law.  It's a crazy thing because I am not a single person, but it was the only way we could adopt the girls, so we went for it.

Their 'concerns' are due to the fact that I am 'single', and already have 5 other kiddos at home...on and on and on.  They just don't get me at all.  And that's okay...tomorrow they will! I am prepared to answer anything and everything they ever needed to know.

Would you please pray with me?  Pray that God would soften hearts, and give me the words to say.  Pray that they would see my heart, and the love that I have for these two girls.  And, maybe even that God would still move on the Judge's heart to grant me the ten day waititng period waiver.  I know He can do it. Also, that the Judge would give me a court date this week.

Our entire adoption is in the hands of this one man.  He alone will decide if I am fit to parent these children.

The Chief Administrator for Adoptions and the Notary (a key person in Ukrainian adoptions) have also been invited to come to the meeting, and ask me their questions too.

It's turning out to be quite a ride.  I'm okay with it--trusting God with everything that is within me. I'm ready for the Father to part the waters!

Thank you so very much for your prayers, I appreciate it more than you will ever know.

Firmly in His grip!

Maybe this is the answer to prayer we've been waiting for. With all of the Big shots in the room, perhaps they will come to a favorable decision. The Only Big Shot that matters will be on your side regardless of the outcome so may you rest in that and may God give you peace as you answer the questions posed to you. I know He will!!

I am praying. May you FEEL the presence of the Lord surrounding you as you enter that meeting tomorrow. The Spirit will give you the words and no matter WHAT appears to be happening in the natural realm...we know WHO the victory belongs to and we call Him ABBA!!!

My first reaction while reading this was feeling myself tense up thinking that I would be a complete mess if I was in your place, but what a lovely place that is for you because the God, who created life in that very judge that wants to meet with you, has called you to be in that place right now. He is in control and He loves Hailee and Harper! I'll be praying for this!! Be strong, Adeye! God's Will will prevail.

Adeye, your faithful walk is so inspiring to me and you and your husband are an example of faith in action for my daughter April, as well. I know the Lord is in control and He is with you. Surrender yourself 100% before going in to see this man. Ask God to speak through you and use you to show His glory and mercy. Ask for peace of heart!.. I know I'm preaching to the choir! This is more for those who are reading this that continue to doubt or don't have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. God bless you and keep you! All is in His hands.

God has had his hand in this, and continues to guide it according to His plan. I pray for His Peace, Mercy, and Understanding to all involved. May your answers more than satisfy the judge.

God is with you and will use you for His glory! Ask Him to speak through you so that He can perform yet another miracle! Your journey has been one long "step of faith" 1 after the other! I'm preaching to the choir, but some haven't yet the faith that you do! My prayers are with you!!!!

You sound so calm. I would be terrified! In Estonia, children over 10 have to agree to the adoption or the judge will not grant it. In Andreas' case, this rule was waived. When we got to court, we learned that the judge wanted to speak with him first. It was completely unexpected and very scary! Everything depended on her decision. I was so shocked and scared, I couldn't even think to pray!
There will be many of us praying for you. You will be ready, and I am sure you will have just the right words. Praying hard! Alice

Oh Adeye! I ferverently pray for you every day, I've faithfully followed your adoption journey. I look forward to your posts everyday! You are truly an inspiration, and it gives me joy to pray for you. You can count on me to pray for you. We serve an awesome God that can move mountains (much less move a hand to sign a paper!) He is mighty to save!

Hi Adeye,
I WILL be praying for you! Your story has deeply touched my heart and it has been a HUGE encouragement to us. We are in the middle of the process of becoming foster parents to a lovely little girl. We already have three children in our family; one of them is adopted. We have felt for years that God will one day bring us a little girl - now it turns out that this little girl also has a sister. They are defined "special needs" but nothing that is very serious; and it just might be that we will be called to take in two girls instead of one! I just "ran into" your blog when all this has been happening. I don't think it is a co-incidence, and I just wanted you to know that in the middle of all your trials in Ukraine, God is using you and your family to bring hope and a future to even more little girls than yours.
Blessings,
Tanja

Now that would be awesome for everyone to witness!!! Thanks for another opportunity to pray specifically for you and your darling girls!!!

I have been following your blog for sometime now. I think you are one amazing woman and MOTHER. I know when these 2 little girls get home that within a couple of years they are going to be so BIG, LOVED, and WVERY HAPPY!
I also know that God knows this himself otherwise he would not have sent you on this journey.
Of course I will be praying that everything goes the way it needs too.
When these people meet you I cannot imagine that they will not think you are a fit mother for these 2 amazing little girls and can take care of 7 children.
Please keep us posted on what happens. I will be sitting here waiting to hear all went well.

GOD PLEASE BE WITH ADEYE DURING HER MEETING WITH THE JUDGE AND OTHERS. LET THESE PEOPLE KNOW THAT THESE LITTLE GIRLS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE WITH THEIR MOMMY ADEYE, WHO YOU HAVE CHOSEN FOR THEM.
PLEASE HELP ADEYE SHINE AS A PERSON, CHRISTIAN, AND MOST OF ALL A MOTHER AND LET THESE PEOPLE KNOW THAT SHE WILL NEVER KNOWINGLY LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO THESE LITTLE ANGELS OR ANY OTHER CHILD FOR THAT MATTER. SHE HAS SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE AND YOU KNOW THAT SHE WILL HELP THESE LITTLE GIRLS HAVE AS WONDERFUL LOVING, AND NORMAL LIFE AS THEY CAN HAVE.
PLEASE LORD MAKE THIS MEETING BE QUICK AND JOYFUL FOR ALL.

Adeye, it makes me nervous just thinking about the interrogation you're going to face. BUT, my friend, you are equipped for this! I'm praying the Spirit will give you the words, and that God has already softened the heart of the judge, enabling him to speed this process along. What a ride, Sister! Good thing you are NOT alone!!!!

My daughter & i have been following your blog now for a while. What a great encouragment you & your family have been, being so transparent & allowing the Father to show Himself through you! I even copied what you wrote the other day, that nothing got to you that hadnt been filtered through the hands of the Father first. WIth that said, know that we will be praying for you, for the words that you will say as well as the heart of this judge, that he himself will not know why, but will fill over whelmingly convicted to sign the papers and get you and those precious babies home! God bless you!

Dearest Adeye, God has gone before you. The Lord moved this morning for the church to lay hands on Anthony, as laying them on you, too, and there was a mighty anointing of the Lord for breakthrough. I believe something amazing happened even as those prayers were going forth, joining with the prayers of saints around the globe, for your safe passage to the other side of this! God will be glorified and we will all marvel at how He does this! I am with you... your church is with you... most of all, our GOD IS WITH YOU. May He dispatch warrior angels to clear the way! Love you and miss you so.

Praying and praying and praying for your whole family, A&A! Can't wait to hear all about it so be sure to post exactly what happens in that meeting tomorrow as soon as you can. It doesn't matter about this judge's concerns: "The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations." Psalm 33: 10-11

Hello! I am came across your blog and was so excited to find out that we have many things in common, we're sisters in Christ, we both come from South Africa, we both married Americans, we both now reside in the States and miss our South African families beyond words, we both have a love for children and orphans and we both have made the amazing journey to China to adopt the precious child God picked out for us at the begining of time! Pretty neat!

I wanted to tell you that I have spent hours reading over your blog tonight just soaking in your story. I love it. I cannot wait to follow along the rest of your journey! What blessings you have received and what a blessing you are to others!

I will be praying for you as you see the judge tomorrow. Praying that God will work miracles on that man and that his heart will be softened to allow you to take these girls home with you as soon as possible.

Hailee and Harper are gorgeous! Wowzee!

Adeye I had no idea that the adoption would be totally in your hands and I hope they will extend their hearts and hands out to you. All you have to do is look at these two angels and know they have just blossomed in the past week w/your prescence. You are so needed to be the mother to these two precious little ones. My son and dil are in the Ukraine right hoping to bring home our sweet angel and I so pray that you will also be able to bring these two home w/you. Just let them know that you can provide them w/a better life w/hope for their future. Hugz and much love, jann

Adeye, You probably have seen the Hanna Anderson childrens clothing catalogs but if not, they have super cute cotton "aviator" caps that would be perfect for Hailee. They have lots of colors. My girls wore them in the fall and spring to keep the chill off. They would be perfect for keeping her ear safe and super cute!! Sheri
