Mmmmmmmm.
Who could it possibly be?
Surely no one will notice my little mess...the sweet lovie thought to herself.
Oops!
I guess I got caught.
Yup. That's me. Totally busted!
But it really was sooooooo much fun while it lasted.
First, I poured it all out. Every last drop of it.
Then, I rubbed it all over the coffee table.
Next, for some extra messy pleasure, I added a whole lot to my face,
and my hair,
and the sofa,
and the dog,
and the rug.
I looked carefully and admired my fabulous creation.
And it was good. Very good.
Everything was perfectly covered in white powder.
And we all smelled pretty darn fine.
Being three is just SO much fun!
My Mommy thinks so too.

Too precious!!! And I bet everything smells lovely! :)
Aw, how cute!! I bet she had so much fun while it lasted :-) Darya played with her chocolate pudding the other night. She had so much fun I just couldn't bear to stop her! My mom always told me that kids and clothes are washable - I have to constantly remind myself!
well...she DID look like she had fun :)
ha ha haa
LOL - she looks so innocent and sweet with this big, blue eyes! What a sweet darling!
I know you will get a thousand comments about how dangerous powder is if inhaled by young children. I love you and your family dearly and I had to comment about how baby powder if inhaled can cause serious respiratory arrest even hours after it is inhaled. I would hate anything to happen to that sweet girl. I write out of love, not out of judgement. I know you probably already know that, just trying to be helpful. Much love,

Adeye, I love how you take those moments that could be filled with frustration (I imagine quite a mess behind that cute little white covered face) and make it one of joy. Thank you. You spoke to me on a day that was filled with my frustration and harsh words. Thankfully, my sweet littles are always forgiving and ready with a hug.
This post brings such joy! She is an absolute hoot with the baby powder :-) Think of those fine motor skills she was fine-tuning with this mess-making incident!
She was really having fun. Guess you will now cleaning it up.She.s so cute . Karen
Thanks for the "warning" - a good reminder to not leave any baby powder out where Maia (our sweetie) might get at it - lol!
She loves lotion and daddy had a similar experience with what Maia thought was lotion. It was actually shampoo and Miss Maia was quite sudsy! :-)
Those pictures are precious! My son did the same thing when he was young, except he poured it onto our bed and then proceeded to jump all over the bed. I was cleaning powder for days!
Cute.
But ... I did know someone who's little one died because they inhaled baby powder.
Just a word of caution to all mommies out there ... NOT a judgement of your parenting IN THE LEAST.
Love ya MUCH!

Way to cute!!!!!! My goodness, they are both just precious!
Too much cuteness!
I laughed all the way through all of these picture. Her face told it all. Thanks for sharing this with us all.
Thanks- you brightened my evening!!
Seriously cute!!
soooo, I need to lighten up... right... okay, I can do that... at least I'll try... hard, very very hard...
I love that you saw the cuteness, and didn't freak out. :0)
Too stinkin'cute!!!
Precious! Made my week! Holly

How cute is she?!?!
I loved reading this post, it reminds me of a saying. "Don't sweat the small stuff" :)
Totally working on that and your lovie is a great reminder. :)
OK, it has been 12 hours since you posted this and my guess is that you are still getting powder out of your house (and daughter) for that matter. My Hunter did something similar at that age only it was with cat litter. I don't remember grabbing my camera and wanting to capture the moment for all time. I probably should have:)

ps-sweet sweet photos!
I love this post!!! I have pics of my youngest son who did the same thing!!! Priceless:)
Too cute. :)
Oh, man!!!! What a big mess! Looks fun, though! :D
I thoroughly enjoyed that! Thanks for taking pictures. :D
lol I have pix of me looking like this and then 30 years later, pix of Cooper too! Powder is just so fun!
There was a day - some 25 or so years ago - when you would have heard me scream from where you are...I'm so much happier about being a parent since I grew up a little bit! And if I have any regrets about being a dad to my olders - it was that at age 25 I was not near adult enough to do that....but they forgive me....and that's something I'll always be thankful for!
hugs - and ain't she just a living doll?
aus and co.
Love the pictures - she's gorgeous!A quick clarification on the warnings - baby powder that is comprised of talc ("talcum powder") can indeed cause serious respiratory problems, and precautions should be taken to avoid little ones from inhaling it. However, baby powder that is made of pure cornstarch is safe, and makes the most wonderful messes! Carol
Just. Plain. Adorable!
Oh dear...when my 6 year old was about 2 she did the same thing, but not with baby powder. She did it with Vaseline!! It was EVERYWHERE. Since it was my own fault for leaving the vaseline where she could get it, I just had to laugh, and then give the baby a bath. Your littles are adorable. Laura twosugarplums.blogspot.com
Oh! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Oh how I laughed out loud! Laughter IS the BEST medicine! I needed that!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for praying with me and for us!
Blessings,
Amy & family
I love Those pictures!
I totally knew it was going to be Harper! Love the pictures
Absolutely precious! You know we all want to do stuff like that sometimes..........we just know that we will have to clean it up.
That cracks me up! The last picture is precious! :)
Bahahaha that is fantastic!!!!! Plus sensory stuff like that is great! When I was a missionary in thailand with my little bambinos (where powder to them is like a toque to a canadian) they use to pour it all over the hardwood so they would slip and fall. It takes a good momma to not whip out the dustpan and just let it happen, but man is it stinkin adorable!
Oh this brings back memories of the day my son 'dusted' the entire playroom! I was weeks in getting rid of it and re-hydrating the house.
Oh my word. This is hilarious. Bless you for taking pictures of it all and spinning it into a funny story. I'm sure cleaning it all up wasn't quite as much fun. . . but you'll have the pictures and fun memories of the mess, not the clean-up. I must learn to have your attitude!
Nichole
Oh what a precious Lovey. I heart her! You are so blessed. Those pictures remind me of francesca battastellis song, This is the stuff.
Be blessed Adeye

My daughter did this once...but with zinc cream. Yuck! It's still in small tight spot on her rod iron bed frame. It NEVER washed out of her PJs completely. But did she ever think it was funny, what a nut ;p
Love it! My daughter did that with powdered sugar once and then with corn meal all over the carpet!LOL!
