Having been involved in the adoption community for many years now, I have seen God write the most amazing stories as He has moved heaven and earth to bring children home. I have seen Him move the tallest mountain and provide in miraculous ways for so many families who have stepped out in faith to bring a child into their family. I have been so moved by the faith, the love, and the dedication of countless families who have taught me the meaning of sacrificial love of a child whom they have never even met yet. It’s truly been a joy.
Every now and again, a story crosses my path that touches me so deeply. They’re the stories of families deep in the trenches. Families working hard to meet deadlines and trusting God for every penny they need to get to their child. A few weeks ago I read about the Kunkle family and felt God tug at my heart to try and help. They’re an ordinary family, serving an extra ordinary God, willing to do what He has called them to do…no matter what.
Would you read their story below, please? This family is racing against the clock to bring home not one, not two, but THREE teenagers out of an orphanage in Ukraine. Their need is desperate.
Our team at Pure and Faultless has been so moved by their story and their love for these older children that we’re partnering with them to help them raise the money they still need in order to complete their adoption.
A $5000 MATCHING GRANT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO THE KUNKLE FAMILY! $5000 can easily become $10,000 with the help of the body of Christ.
No, we’re not all called to adopt children from faraway places, but we can all do something to help those who are adopting. It’s just the glorious body of Christ in action.
We would be so blessed if you would prayerfully consider helping a family who is so absolutely sold out to the call of God on their lives. Not many people are called to adopt three teenagers, but this family is! They are embracing the journey set before them and running their race with everything they have.
All donations are tax deductible and every single dollar will go to the family. Nothing withheld!

Hello, everyone,
We are Dale and Buffey Kunkle. We have been married for fifteen years. We have two biological sons and one special needs daughter whom we adopted last year from an orphanage in Ukraine.
We recently had the pleasure of hosting an orphan from Ukraine for seven weeks this summer. Tolik is kind, smart, and very hungry for love. He desperately wants a family to call his own. He also has one sibling who also wants to be adopted. According to Ukrainian law, you cannot separate siblings unless there are special circumstances.
Tolik is fifteen and Anastasia is thirteen.
Misha, who is sixteen years old came into the picture in October while I was in Ukraine when I had no intentions of adding a third child. Misha asked to be a part of our family and it was something that we had to pray about because we didn’t have the extra money to file the document that needed to be submitted before he turned sixteen on October 21st!
I was in Ukraine not knowing that a previous hosting family had been praying for him to have a family before he aged out.
The rest, as they say, is history and God made the impossible possible for Misha. Dale and I have always wanted to have a big family of our own but found out three years ago that we could no longer have our own biological children. It was devastating for the both of us. We also lost a baby at five and a half months between our two biological boys. I have felt the calling to adopt since I was ten years old and God has completely stretched my faith beyond anything I can comprehend and has shown me that adopting is my purpose, my mission, my destiny on this earth.
At the very young age of sixteen orphans “age out” in Ukraine. More often than not they let out of the orphanage gates and left on the streets to fend for themselves. They leave the orphanage with a small shopping bag containing all of their earthly belongings and a very small amount of money. Sadly, they are often subjected to sex and drug trafficking with the likelihood of possible death. The suicide statistics are heartbreaking for these young people.
Dale and I have huge hearts for the orphan and want to teach them about the love of Christ and give them an opportunity to know Jesus as their personal savior.
We are very thankful and excited that you chose to take a glimpse into our lives and listen to our hearts regarding orphans. Our hope is that you are able to get an idea of who we are as a family. We feel that parenting is the greatest gift and responsibility a couple can have. We long for our children to have compassion for others and to be loving, happy and secure in who they are in Christ. We will work hard to teach all of our children what it means to belong to a family who adores them and the true meaning of unconditional love.
They will know, that no matter what, nothing will change our love for them.
Adoption is an emotional roller coaster and it takes a lot of support from family, friends, church and our communities to make it happen. We aren’t rich with money or material things but we are very rich with love for these children whom God has brought into our lives. We cannot wait to give each one of them a second chance at life. No child deserves to be without a family. They deserve to be cherished, honored and respected.
We are already far into the paperwork process to bring these sweet teenagers home. Our dossier was submitted on December 7th and we are waiting to hear when our SDA appointment will be. It has taken a lot of hard work, time, dedication, love, and funds. If you feel led to donate towards Dale and I adopting these deserving children, please feel free to make a tax deductible donation towards our cause. We long to get to them as quickly as humanly possible and make them our forever children.
We we know that God has gone before us on this journey and is working on our behalf. We know that He will guide and provide. We have complete faith and trust in Him!
Thank you and God Bless you all!
Pure religion undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. ~~ James 1:27
With much love,
Buffey, Dale, Aaron, Andrew and Kristina (and our three teenagers waiting in Ukraine)
