sharing our darlings

Here are two very short videos of our angels. I know my family at home are longing to see Hailee and Harper in videos, so I thought I'd post them here.

Harper definitely has a thing for shoes.  As far as she's concerned, they're there for the eating. Actually, I think this is the first time she ever had shoes on her little feet, she was not sure what to make of them.  Give her a few days in our home and she will learn very quickly that shoes are meant to be OFF.

Sweet and precious, teeny, tiny, Hailee. Oh this sweet love. I think she's getting it! She's starting to undertsand that I am a good thing in her life--she is even starting to reach out to me now. Hallelujah!

How exceedingly blessed we are. There truly are no words to describe how full to overflowing our hearts are with gratitude.

To think that God chose us to be their parents. Oh my goodness, it leaves me speechless. Such a gift.

I'll update you tomorrow on what's happening here in the Ukriane.  Love and biggest hugs to all of you.

Could they be any more adorable?
Oh how I long to see them with you and out of that institution! Did you bring pink clothes for your girlies? :)
I'm sure you did!
Precious! And wow oh wow is Harper flexible!!! I couldn't lick the bottom of my shoe if I WANTED to! :)
I am praying for PEACE that surpasses all understanding. I believe you know now what to do and I'm praying that God will give you the strength and peace to stand firm in your decision!
He who has called you is FAITHFUL my friend. HE is going to do this!
Love,
Holly

It is SO amazing that technology allows us to 'almost' be there with you and Hailee and Harper! Oh, how I want to squeeze and kiss them, Adeye. It is unfathomable that Hailee is almost 5 years old. So tiny and baby-like, so angelic. And little Harper is such a busy bee, isn't she? What a sweet dolly! Thank you so much for these videos. I am praying fervently for you as you hear the Lord's voice for every step. Missing you!!! We are enjoying lovely weather... hope you are, as well.

Oh how Hailee makes me miss my Yana girl! Bless you little Hailee!

Harper... have you met Yana? ... you have the licking thing in common I see. LOL

I have been following your blog and it is beautiful. I am so happy for you, your family and especially these little girls. So heart warming, I love the video.

I live in WP and went to the fund raiser last summer for Hailee. My son was born with DS a year ago, so you have touched my heart.

OMG---using Webtv I was not able to see this but I'm sure that it was an awesome experience and these two sweeties could steal anyone's heart. If I were young I would be so proud to be able to give them a wonderful home like they are going home to. I wait every day just for your pic's and info and hope things will fall in place for you and your family. God Bless, Jann

Oh wow! These videos make the girls soooo real for those of us "out here"! They are adorable and so sweet.

While most of us wouldn't eat them, shoes are a "girl" thing :) My daughter used to pull them off our feet and crawl around with them on her hands!

I am still asking the Lord to waiver the 10 day waiting period...He is the God of the impossible. However, as you said yesterday, He has everything in hand.

Thank you for posting the videos, so glad that they are starting to respond and recognize you as mommy. I can't wait to see them blossom once they are home. People are realizing that special needs orphans are treasures from God. I am so thankful for Reeces Rainbow for finding your girls and finding our Sneha.

Adeye,
This may be way out there! I certainly hope it is not offensive. And I mean this in the most respectful way. But I am wondering...
Do you ever get to see the babies undressed? Do you diaper them during your time with them? As a mom, I would have this nagging question in the back of my mind about the reason for Hailee always being dressed as a boy. I mean with her hair cut short (and I realize they do this usually for all the children) and dressed in blue, I would wonder if maybe the child I thought was a girl was, in fact, a boy.
Dear me, I hope that is not too personal to ask. I am just thinking with the mindset of what it would be like to be there myself.

On another note, the videos are precious. I watched them with my 3 yr old that also has DS. She LOVES "babies." :) When we were done she asked for more!
So sweet to have this record of their time there.

thanks for sharing the girls they are so precious.
I wonder right from the start if they dress Hailee as a boy and since you post she is in a differant room, if they have left her just because none of them bonded with her? for what ever reason that I cant get my head around. just a nagging feeling I have that Favourites are played over there.
Also I have never seen a child poke out their tongue quite like that.
Do you think that this is from neglect, like a way of self stimulating…

love and hugs Cathy and Aden

I woke up thinking about you and the girls this morning and I believe God gave me this thought. Maybe the delay in getting them home is so they will not have to live in Woodland Park for long because maybe they, especially Hailee, might not survive the high altitude that long. God is sooooooooo good and has you and the girl's best interest at heart. He will guide you and protect all of you! Love you!!!

They are so cute! That Harper :) And Miss Hailee - I get so angry to think at how she has been neglected, it is so sad and so UNnecessary. So thankful that she has a family to love her and that God's Word tells us that he will repay us for the years the locusts have stolen. Praise you Jesus!
