just a day in the park

Savoring their absolute sweetness.

Cherishing the many firsts that they are experiencing.

The joy of sitting in the park on a warm spring day.

Counting my many blessings…and naming them one by one tonight.

Making precious memories.

What did I ever do to deserve such beautiful gifts?

    Dear Ms. Adeye,

(Do you mind if I call you Ms. Adeye? I don’t want to be too forward.)

You asked on your blog today, after showing several new pictures of your precious Hailee and Harper, why you were so blessed. I know that many people ask that question, and I am afraid that I do not know the specific answer. But I can tell you this: you are and will CONTINUALLY be blessed by these precious little angels you and your family decided to open up your hearts and souls to! The two little girls who many thought would be burdens are actually the greatest BLESSINGS sent by Him, our Heavenly Father who loves all and who sends everybody here with a purpose in their lives.

I am only seventeen years old, Ms. Adeye, but your story has touched my soul. What you have done for first Hannah-Claire and Haven, and now Hailee and Harper, is not just pulling them out of a country where they have barely any future, but have given them the greatest gift of all: a Mommy and Daddy and siblings who will LOVE and CHERISH them to the ends of the Earth and will teach them about their Father who sent them so their Mommy and Daddy could find them and hold them FOREVER!!! They are AMAZING, and I hope that one day, every single orphan who needs a pair of loving arms will know the exact same kind of love you, your husband, and every single other parent gives UNCONDITIONALLY to their child.

I cry when I think about all those poor children, but I am happy because people like you, Ms. Adeye, are out there to spread the word about the JOY there is in taking in the ‘unwanted’ ones. Yes there is a stigma in Ukraine when it comes to special needs children, but one day when things are better I pray that the families will understand that the word ‘special’ in ‘special needs’ means BLESSING, not curse!!!

Ms. Adeye, enjoy the ride. Love these precious girls, and keep on spreading the faith to others.

All my love and best wishes,
    Irene.

Wow! Beautiful. Harper is giving and receiving love and this precious Hailee who we never saw as relaxed on pictures, you and Anthony are what she needed. You deserve every bit of love and hapiness they give you and taking of them brings you because you simply with the purest heart listened to your Father and opened your heart.

    Dear Hailee and Harper ~

First of all, “I Love You”! You both look SO happy to be with your Mommy and daddy. I am so glad you are with them! And, soon you will be coming “Home” on a big airplane…but, don’t be afraid, because you will be in the arms of your parents and they will keep you safe.

After the plane ride, you will get to meet your three Big Brothers and your two Big Sisters! They will be SO excited to finally get to meet you! And, I just know that they will be your “Protecters” for your whole life! They will love you and give you everything that you need and probably every little thing that you want!
: ) You are so Blessed to have them as your older siblings!

Another thing you both will learn about is Jesus. He will fill you with His Love and Grace and His Love will be the Purest form of Love that you will ever experience! You will get to go to Church and Sunday School and get to learn lots of songs and stories of how His Father sent Him to Save You! He is an Awesome God! He is the One who actually told your Mommy and Daddy to go and get you and bring you home!! That makes me have a warm feeling in my heart and a BIG smile on my face!!

Hailee and Harper, you have loads of fun with Mommy and Daddy! There are lots of people who are waiting to hear all about your big journey! And, ALL of us are saying special Prayers for you both!

God Bless You, Sweet Girls! ~ Love, Jo

P.S. Give your Mommy and Daddy a Big Hug for me, Okay?!!

What an absolutely perfect family. Abba Father knows what He’s doing. May your many beautiful blessings shine like precious jewels and blossom in your love like fragile wildflowers in the spring. All my love and prayers are with you and yours this morning. If there’s ever anything I can do for you, please ask. I know you don’t know me well, yet we are sisters in Christ, and my heart goes out to you in your triumph and joy. I rejoice with you this morning!
