Wow. I am truly in shock at the transformation in such a short amount of time for this sweet girl. Seriously. Everything single thing about her just exudes with joy! Her complexion, her hair, her eyes, EVERYTHING!! Mercy, the things that LOVE can do for a person.
The more this diamond is polished, the more beautifully she sparkles. Just months ago, you saw a treasure that orphanage workers and government officials couldn’t see. You paid ransom for a life they thought worthless. Well, your Hailee is certainly a Masterpiece and her smile is absolutely priceless.

We seen a little girl with her parents at the zoo today, and I pointed her out to my friend (also one of your blog readers) and before I could even get out the words she said ‘oh she DOES look like Hailee!’

I am so grateful that God lead you to her and Harper (and Haven and Hannah)and that you guys have been able to work miracles in the lives of these girls.

…Each picture you post shows a little more of who Hailee is becoming. What once was a child who looked to be a year old, maybe, is starting to LOOK like a preschooler. And with her features that are blooming, you can also see more of the magic of that extra chromosome. :). I remember when her eyes were so big and empty with malnutrition that one couldn’t tell that she had any characteristics of Ds. Happily, today you can tell - she has those beautiful, unmistakable almond eyes - and they SPARKLE!
Francis of Assisi is a hero of mine - he had an expression he used to describe that feeling of when you really ‘know’ God - “Perfect Joy” - if anyone ever needs that expression defined - all they need to do is look at this picture of Haliee…innocence, love, happiness - “Perfect Joy”.
And as for you guys - she would never have known this without you all….nice work….
