Adeye, your girls (your entire FAMILY!) are SO precious! When I look at those photos on your sidebar, my heart just smiles from within! I remember those ‘oh so different’ first pics of the girls… oh if the orphanage could see them now!! It’s a really, really BEAUTIFUL THING… what LOVE can do!! <><
My friend - this is just sooooooo much your little girl! She is so beautiful just like her mommy! You can tell a mile off she was made to be loved by you. Oh how she has stolen my heart! I love these pictures. So beautiful. (ps - love the new pics on the blog. Stunning).
Adeye ~ I was wondering if Hailee still acts “autistic” or if her orphanage behaviors have gotten a lot better. Does she make eye contact with you guys? Is she “connected” (for lack of a better word)? I am not asking any of this in a snarky manner ~ I am asking because my 3 year old, Bethany, appears to be completely autistic (we’ve been home for a bit over 6 weeks) and when I posted about it, I had several people recommend that I come talk to you because they said Bethany sounded a lot like Hailee.
I understand if you choose to post only the happy/good stuff about Hailee. It is your blog. But I am hoping that you might take a few minutes to email me or to post a comment (that I would not publish) on my blog to let me know what kind of progress Hailee has made since you brought her home with regards to her “institutional behaviors” & sensory issues & overall social connectedness.
You two are just beautiful together. over the week end when I was reading your blog, I thought that Hailee is really starting to look like you. It is such a joy and a testemony to answered prayers to read and see updates of her. I remember when you were still visiting her and voicing your conserns, how everyone offered to pray for her especially. I think that our Father, answered far above what any of us thought. I also loved seeing AND hearing her on your adoption video. In the ds community, it is often said that some are movers and others observers. Hailee definitely looks like a mover- nothing to keep her still and I can’t believe that a little girl, who was kept in a crib, would have such a lot of determination!
Hailee looks so amazing. She looks healthy and happy and ready to take on the world. Not to mention that the two of you look quite a lot alike The road for her is definitely up from now on.
She is so healthy now! And absolutely beautiful. A completely different little girl from the one you picked up at the orphanage…LOVE…THAT’S THE DIFFERENCE.
Yes, I know this is Hailee. But for a split second, at first, I thought it was Harper, just because of those full cheeks. Has Hailee gained weight? Or is she just so full of love that she looks so different? No matter what, she is an amazing testament to the power of God’s beautiful, amazing love.
Thank you so much for always blessing us with photos of your angels. They are a great testimony of your love and obedience to Christ. Hailee’s story is just so inspiring! Can’t help but fall in love with this child I’ve never met.
my dad would call you an “ivory girl,” adeye. you and your girls are naturally clean-looking-beautiful. no makeup and accessories beauty! hailee’s hair is strikingly blonde! hugs.
