Oh my goodness. Every pound that this angel grows is a reason to celebrate in our home. We totally do the happy dance when Hailee gains weight. Every pound of weight added to her tiny little body is a blessing.
This morning she weighed in at a whopping 22 pounds. That’s six pounds heavier than she was when she came home. Amazing for our sweetie who will be six years old in May.
Hailee is our unfolding miracle. Our breath of heaven.
She has astounded us in how far she has come.

I read your previous post with the list of comments strangers make when you’re at the store with your seven kids. I have a friend who is a foster mom to three kids (all of different ethnicities) and she also gets strange looks and comments when she is out with her crew. When people say to her, “You’ve sure got your hands full!”, she responds by smiling and saying, “Better than empty”. Thought I’d share that with you. Might be a great response for you to use next time you hear that comment!
