yes, she absolutely does….

Someone asked me here if Hailee ever laughs. Do we ever hear the sound of sweet laughter coming from her?

YESSSSS!

See for yourselves the joy that bubbles over.

Untitled from Adeye Salem on Vimeo.

Bouncing and kisses are two of Hailee’s favorite things.  Put them together and it’s a double delight.  She could totally do those two things all day long.

Notice how she grabs onto Anthony’s legs and squeals-asking him to play with her.  The girl knows exactly what she wants. We chuckle at how she laughs hysterically and then stops suddenly….waiting in anticipation for more.

Isn’t redemption just such an amazing thing?  There was a time when I wondered if Hailee would ever be able to express joy.

How wrong I was.

When I look at the first picture in this post it brings tears to my eyes every single time.

That joy was just waiting, waiting, waiting to come out.

I linked to your blog in a post I wrote today. I hope the reason does not offend you…it really was meant complimentary and I hope it is read as such.

Adeye, I came across your blog about 2 weeks ago and am glue’ed ever since! WOW!! I spent almost 2 full days reading your blog from work!! and laughter came and tears started and laughter came again, and i was asked at work, “Deb you OK”, I says oh yeah , just allergies!!!! BUT seriously, I love, love reading your blog. I had been following Julia’s family blog for a long time, so it was so nice to see you could spend some time with her, sweet angel! I adopted my son James, 2 years ago,and actual fact we have our 2 year follow up tomorrow, and a while ago, I said to my husband, got to get the 10 pictures together for tomorrow (as requested), he says,”and if we don’t bring them, are they are going to come take our little man away”? - Our little guy is very developementally delayed, we were told he was perfectly normal. Of course upon meeting J, we knew he was not, but fell in love and knew instantly, he was meant to be ours! YOur blog brings so so so much inspiration to me, I simple adore looking at your beautiful children and reading about how much they progress and are loved in their every day life! Now I am “nagging” my husband, we could have a least, two more!I don’t have a blog but do regret not starting one prior to our adoption! But I do love reading yours and others. It also has brought me so much closer to Jesus. Thank you and thanks for sharing your amazing beautiful story! xo Debbie NY

Those things that we wait for - it makes them all the sweeter when they arrive! Strange - but true - and I think I need a double dose of insulin after those giggles!!

Oh Adeye, thanks for posting this! I missed the first video of Hailee laughing and playing with her Daddy, and have hoped so much to get another chance.

She is so beautiful, and I am in tears seeing her joy and her connection with her Daddy. This is what I want for little Brigita on RR. I have been praying for her for so long, and have tried to advocate for her, but am not great at that. Thank you for showing us your beautiful, sweet girl. And thanks for keeping the message out there that there is hope for every child.

What a sweet, sweet sound. What a difference a year makes! So happy for you and your family. And the pictures of sweet Haven and her glasses were so wonderful! My little guy (who wears glasses and loves seeing other kids with them) said she looked “happy and seeing”. :) So cute.
