MABEL URGENTLY NEEDS A FAMILY!!!

Friends, we are still urgently looking for a family for precious Mabel in Uganda. Many have inquired, but still no committed family. Over the last few weeks, our team at PURE AND FAULTLESS has been gathering more information about her condition and her desperate need to find a family. It’s truly heartbreaking and we’re stretching our faith and trusting for her miracle. Because she matters so very, very much.

MABEL HAS TO BE ADOPTED BEFORE HER SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY IN NOVEMBER!

Here is some more information for anyone who feels that God may be tugging on their hearts:

“Our friends on the ground were able to confirm this week that she is 15 years old — on birth certificate and passport. She has a passport already, because she has been to the States for surgery years ago. {some of you may know that the passport process is one of the longest parts of Ugandan adoptions so the fact that she has one should make the in-country stay shorter} This means, she has until November to get home (her 16th birthday).

We still need two important things to give Mabel a shot at life.
1. A committed family in the US.
2. An agency to help with her adoption.

Mabel had surgery ten years ago in the US to repair her heart, but as rarely happens, she is now in heart failure and basically the walls of her heart have thinned so much she cannot live with this heart. It is possible that in the States she could remain on cardiac drugs for enough time to stabilize her and get her on the transplant list. She currently spends a significant amount of time in the hospital and the hospital here is not the best place for her. The risk of her dying before adoption or before she could get a heart transplant is high. In addition, a transplant is a massive responsibility. There is actually a transplant board who will evaluate her whole social situation and decide, combined with her medical condition, if she is a candidate for surgery and for an available heart. One of the responsibilities will be for your family to learn and commit to a large medication regimen as well as make a commitment that Mabel will never travel outside the US. This can be difficult.”

An impossible situation? Some would say so. But we believe in a God in heaven who truly is able to do exceedingly, abundantly MORE. A Father who adores this young lady more than words can say. We don’t know how much longer she has on this earth…

…but we do know the ONE who holds her days in the palm of His hand.

And that…is enough.

Would you please share her need for a family? Would you please trust with us for her miracle? We appreciate that so, so much. Thank you!

This breaks my heart. I have an idea that just might be way too wild but is there any way a family could sponsor her to come to the US to be evaluated and possibly put on the transplant list? If you think this is something could possibly happen would you let me know? And then we could talk some more. I realize this would be very complicated but am just wondering if it would buy some time so she could get the help she needs while a family might be able to work on the adoption.

      Hi Anne

In my understanding, she HAS to be a US citizen in order to be put on the transplant list. I will double check, but I seem to recall that’s the obstacle. Thank you so much for caring. You are such a blessing!
