an unexpected blessing

I just love the Lord so much.  I love how, when we least expect it, He sends a little blessing our way.  Last night was one of those times for us.My dear hubby left home at some ungodly hour yesterday morning to get a decent place in line to have a book signed by Sarah Palin. While I am definitely not into politics (most of the time I just don't get it at all), I do have a huge amount of … [Read more...]

fear and divine confirmation

Oh how I LOVE the Lord.  My soul delights in Him.So, here we are in a gorgeous part of Colorado.  Enjoying our much-needed family time away.  Yes, I was well enough to make the little trip on Friday.  I still feel icky--but not near as bad as last week.  Ugh--did I tell you that I am so over this stomach thing?  Well I am.  Done with it.Anyway.We're … [Read more...]

out loud

Yesterday I had a conversation with a beautiful friend, that has really got me thinking.  We spoke about all the publicity we have received with Hailee's adoption. Why the publicity?  Why have we chosen to do it this way?The answer is simple, really.  Because we've chosen to live out loud with this adoption.  Because God has given us a voice...and we're using it.  Not just … [Read more...]

I love this.  For the … [Read more...]

in awe

The blessings of the Lord. I am overwhelmed. Totally amazed. At a loss for words.I know I shouldn't be--He's my Daddy--the ONE who has never, not once, ever let me down. He's the Almighty God, the creator of the heavens and the earth. Why should I be surprised by His great love and faithfulness?Maybe it's just something my heart and my human mind will never fully comprehend...this side of … [Read more...]

Oh my--we are exhausted! It has been 48 hours of nothing but YARD SALE.We worked our tails off.Our church--well, there simply are no words to describe how they served with excellence.
