Just seven more weeks before we leave for South Africa! We have so much going on as we bring our lives in America to a close. Our friends and sending team at Pure and Faultless have been absolutely incredible in helping us to see this dream and vision that God has burned in our hearts for so many years come to fruition. What a blessing from heaven they are to us! Last week we reached the 50% mark in our 30K for 30 days campaign. Glory hallelujah! We are beyond grateful and can never thank you all enough for partnering with us to see His Kingdom come as we minister to the neediest of the Father’s treasures in Africa. We absolutely cannot wait to go and get started!
From the bottom of our hearts…THANK YOU!

Back to our 30k in 30 days campaign. Let’s play a game! Choose one or more numbers from the chart below and give the total of the numbers as a one-time gift to the Salems’ first year in South Africa. Here’s the best part. We used a random number generator not once but TWICE to hide two iPad minis behind two numbers! Once all numbers are selected, we’ll notify the winners!
1. Pick a number or as many numbers as you want. (e.g. 4+19+25 for a total gift of $48)
2. Comment below with the numbers you’ve chosen.
3. Donate the total sum of your numbers here: https://connect.egiving.com/send-the-salems-to-south-africa/pure-and-faultless
4. Help spread the word if you choose for all 200 numbers.
The winners will be announced when all numbers are selected!
**** Remember to comment on the Pure and Faultless page RIGHT HERE on which number you’ve taken and donate via the link.
No words can ever express our gratitude.
Dear Adéye, oh man, it’s hard for me to read these pages because I’d so much love to support you financially. But as a studying single mother of soon-to-be two little children I have a hard time making ends meet. If it weren’t for my study - which is expensive - I’d gladly donate some money each month to give to you, because it is such a good cause. As it is, I already support a few good causes (orphan related) with symbolic small amounts each month. I should actually stop doing that, but I cannot bring myself to not support them with at least a tiny amount of money. But…I’ve already stretched my budget too far. I can’t afford one more. And it makes me weep, because your project in Africa is so close to my heart. In fact, if it weren’t for my small kids and my study, I’d come out there to work there with you in a heartbeat.
The truth is: I don’t think I’ll be able to support you until I complete my degree in a few years. I do not expect my financial situation to lighten up until that time. (Though if it does, of course I’ll make a donation!)
Also, I am expecting to give birth just around or right before your departure to SA. Therefore I am not very likely to leave encouraging comments in the coming weeks - nor to send you well wishes when you leave, nor to send messages of support after your departure. This doesn’t mean that I don’t care, though! I DO!
I wanted you to know this, so that you do not think that I have forgotten you, or that I do not care about your journey. I DO! My heart feels deeply moved by your new project and I wish you nothing but the best. I’ve already spent quite some time wondering how old my kids will have to be before I can take them with me to SA to help you out for a while, for example during the summer holidays. It’ll be a few years before that day will come, though… Until then, I will have to find peace with watching you from the sidelines, while all of me wishes that I could help.
Love, Maaike
You are absolutely PRECIOUS! Not for a moment have I thought that you forgot. More than anything, we covet your prayers!!!! Your life is busy and I am praying for you too, friend. Keep shining His glorious light. You’re a treasure.
Thank you, Adéye! xxx

Praying for allllllll kinds of wonderful blessings on your journey to your new lives!!
My two boys put their “Jesus Money” together and added it to some of ours to buy some squares. I explained to them the desperate situation in South Africa, and they want to help the kids “not be thrown away because of a special need.” Thanks for letting us be part of your journey and for being an example of a family who listens to God’s voice no matter what. We will take #’s 23+7+75+20= $125.
Made me all teary this morning. So very grateful for such beautiful seed. THANK YOU!
